So Mary has acquired this rather quirky bit of folk art: a painted wooden ironing board complete with animals cute and strange. We had to chuckle at the incredibly overweight hedgehog and the rather “dazed” looking elephant on the bottom. Whatever story you want to create about this one-of-a-kind vintage piece of art, its available at Fat Chix/Aluminum Mule until someone nabs it!

We did a major remodel in the store this month and moved just about everything around! If you haven’t been by in a while, stop in this week and see the new changes! Mary will be back from Disney World and will be looking forward to seeing everyone!
Sure our crazy store name may imply “robust” femininity, but there’s plenty of manly things to be found at Fat Chix. Of course, the gift shop also has the second name of “The Aluminum Mule” so maybe that’s the male aspect of the name…mule…male…I digress:)
Christmas is next week but our little store is still bursting with gifts, last minute stocking stuffers and a few gems for the man who still needs a present! Vintage beer and shot glasses along with vintage fishing lures. Beer cap magnets and some Irish ball caps are some of the cool items we have in stock right now. Perfect decor for the man caves out there. Some of these are one-of-a-kind so if you like it, get in here quick and grab it quick! Merry Christmas everyone !
Well if there’s one thing Fat Chix has always been good at, it’s the art of the “chotchkie.” Chotchkie is actually a Yiddish word and according to the Urban Dictionary, it means, “A small piece of worthless crap, a decorative knick knack with little or no purpose.” Hmm….does that seem harsh? Well they go on to say, “If you are having trouble identifying Chotchkie just look around your house or someone else’s and whatever you see that a burgler wouldn’t steal is probably Chotchkie.” That sounds a little better.
Fat Chix Coffee and Gifts (The Aluminum Mule) is working on getting this website up and running! We will feature new items in the store on here, east end news, up coming projects and events! Stay tuned!
